M&M Compliance Assistance M&M's O&M assistance efforts focus on bringing plants and systems back into compliance with the federal drinking water and pollution control laws and regulations. These typically are short duration projects, which may include a training phase, to enable the operator to comply with the legislation and regulations. For example, it may be a short lecture and demonstration how to properly take a sample or complete a report. Steve Moehlmann has over 25 years of experience working with operators. Previously, he served as Executive Director of the Association of Boards of Certification (ABC) and spearheaded the validation of ABC's certification program for operators of water treatment plants, distribution systems, very small water systems, collection systems, wastewater treatment plants, and industrial waste plants; water and wastewater laboratory analysts; landfill operators; incinerator operators; and backflow prevention device testers. Moehlmann has a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa and a Bachelors of Arts in General Science from the University of Iowa. He has taken numerous continuing education courses and workshops in continuous quality improvement, management, and tests and measurements. Moehlmann has consulted throughout the United States, Canada, Caribbean, and Latin America. |
